Set up PingPaid in one sitting.
PingPaid's setup screen in WordPress walks you through every step with direct links. Here's what to expect, so you can have everything ready.
Before you start
- A WooCommerce store priced in Canadian dollars, on WordPress 6.4+, WooCommerce 8.5+ and PHP 7.4+.
- A Gmail or Google Workspace address that your bank uses for Interac e-Transfer®.
- Interac Autodeposit turned on for that address in your online banking.
The steps
Install and activate PingPaid
Download PingPaid Premium from your account. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, click Install Now, then Activate. Setup opens on its own.
Enter your payment inbox
Type the Gmail address registered for Interac Autodeposit. That's where your customers will send their e-Transfers.
Connect to PingPaid
PingPaid gives your store its own private forwarding address. Your 30-day free trial starts here.
Forward Interac's emails from Gmail
Setup shows three short tasks, each with a button that opens the right Gmail page:
- In Gmail Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP, click Add a forwarding address and paste your PingPaid address.
- Click Confirm forwarding in setup. It opens Google's confirmation page; no sign-in or account access is needed. Leave "Disable forwarding" selected.
- Create a filter for emails from
payments.interac.cathat forwards them to your PingPaid address. Only Interac's emails are forwarded; nothing else leaves your inbox.
Send yourself a $1 test
Send $1 by Interac e-Transfer to your payment inbox from any bank account. When setup turns green, everything works together: your bank, Autodeposit, the Gmail filter and PingPaid.
If the test doesn't arrive
- Is Autodeposit turned on for the payment inbox at your bank?
- Does the forwarding address in Gmail show as confirmed?
- Is there a filter from
payments.interac.cathat forwards to it? - Filters only act on new emails, so send another $1 after fixing anything.
