PingPaid
How it works

From e-Transfer to paid order, in seconds.

PingPaid reads Interac's deposit email, checks it really came from Interac, and marks the matching order paid. Here's each step, and what happens when something doesn't line up.

  1. 1

    Customer checks out

They choose Interac e-Transfer®. The payment page shows your payment email, the exact amount and a short order code like TG6JG3 to put in the message, with Copy buttons and a QR code to continue on their phone.

  2. 2

They send it from their own bank

It lands in your account through Interac Autodeposit. Interac emails your Gmail, and a Gmail filter forwards that one email to your private PingPaid address.

  3. 3

    PingPaid confirms the order

We check Interac's security signature, read the amount and the code, and mark the right order paid within seconds. The customer's payment page turns green by itself.

Your customer's experience

A payment page that explains itself.

Most shoppers pay from their phone. The payment page is built for that.

  • A clear "Waiting for your e-Transfer" line until the money arrives, then "Payment received".
  • Copy buttons for the email, amount and code, and a QR code to switch to their phone.
  • A simple question after they send it: "Did you put the code in the message?"
  • No message box at their bank? They paste the Interac reference number instead, with help showing where to find it.
  • Sent too little? The page shows what's still due and asks for the rest.

How orders are matched

The amount alone never confirms an order.

The amount must be exactly what's due, and the payment must also point to one specific order, in one of three ways:

1. The order code

The customer puts the short code in the e-Transfer message. Small typos like lower case, a space or extra words are fine.

2. The Interac reference

For banks with no message box, the customer pastes the Interac reference number on their payment page. It works whether they paste it before or after the email arrives.

3. The sender's email

If the sender's email matches the billing email, and exactly one open order from that customer has that amount due.

Anything unclear waits for you. If no rule points to exactly one order, or two rules disagree, the payment goes to your review list with the likely order suggested. Nothing is ever marked paid for the wrong amount.
Security

Built to be trusted with your orders.

We check Interac's digital signature on every email, and we never handle your money.

Signature checked

Every email must carry Interac's digital signature. A look-alike is never confirmed; it goes to you for review.

Your money stays yours

Funds go from your customer's bank straight to yours. No payment processor, no card fees.

No email password

PingPaid never signs in to your inbox. You forward only Interac's emails and can stop any time in Gmail.

Secrets kept encrypted

Each store has its own private forwarding address and secret key. Messages to your store are signed so they can't be forged.
